VI. Research and Information Seeking

     Research and Information Seeking is the process of getting an information in any contexts. This is the act of aiming sources in order to establish facts and for a questions and conclusions to be answered. It is an ideal application that is made through the innovation of ICT and World Wide Web. 

FIVE (5) INFORMATION SOURCES OVER THE INTERNET

  • Web Search Engines

 This is a program that searches for and identifies items in a database that correspond to keywords or characters specified by the user, used especially for finding particular sites on the World Wide Web. 
  • Research Indexing Sites
Research Indexing Sites collects parses, and stores data to facilitate fast and accurate information. This incorporates interdisciplinary concepts from linguistics, cognitive psychology, mathematics, informatics, and computer science.
  • Massive Online Open Course (MOOC)
MOOC is an online course aimed at unlimited participation and open access via World Wide Web.
  • Employment Websites
This is a website that deals specifically with employment or careers. Many employment websites are designed to allow employers to post job requirements for a position to be filled and are commonly known as job boards.
  • Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce)
This is a type of business model, or segment of a larger business model, that enables a firm or individual to conduct business over an electronic network, typically the internet.
